Tarot has been in my life for quite some time. It has gradually become my loyal assistant in business, relationships and decision making. My professional path in business began early - I started working in the 3rd year, while still studying at Kiev University. T.G. Shevchenko. In parallel with studies and work in an international corporation, I studied history of religions, national traditions, and history of ancient civilizations – from the analysis of treatises in dead languages to the Roman conquest of Britain. A bit later, I became more focused on the history of Europe and Great Britain. This is how I discovered Tarot, which was very popular among Italian and French nobility.
Professional Tarot consulting requires serious training and careful work with each deck of cards – it takes at least a year and helps a specialist "fine-tune" the deck and actually live through it to be able to interpret the meanings and combinations correctly and accurately. My training lasted for more than 8 years. I spent the last three years completing a fundamental course on Waite's deck taught by a CIS-famous Tarot specialist, translator and Middle Ages historian. I am currently working with several decks – Waite's classical deck, modern Urban Tarot deck and the historical Visconti-Sforza Golden Tarot deck (my first and favourite one) – and choose between them based on the needs and inquiries of my client.
My 17 years of experience in corporate business, in view of the context and history of the territory where we live, have taught me to be rational and even rather skeptical about the world and the events happening around us. I am completely against shrouding Tarot in mysticism and mystery. To a greater extent, Tarot is a great help in analyzing and making situations clear, getting advice and taking the helm of one's own life.
